Bajra Khichdi Recipe – Ingredients, Method of Making

Bajra Khichdi is very healthy and usually made during the festivals. Both the bajra and moong dal are good for health. It is very delicious and awesome.

Ingredients for making Bajra Khichdi

  • 100 grams Bajra (Pearl millet)
  • 40 grams Yellow Moong Dal
  • 1 teaspoon Ghee
  • Salt as per taste

Method for making Bajra Khichdi

  • Soak bajra for an hour.
  • Now for separating husk from the bajra, grind coarsely in a mixture at a low speed.
  • And now when the bajra is totally husk free, add yellow moong dal to it and mix well.
  • Pressure cook these both with salt and water for nearly 10 minutes.
  • Now when its cooked, if required add little hot water.
  • Add ghee and mix thoroughly.
  • Bajra khichdi is ready to serve.
