Chilli Paneer – Ingredients, Method of Cooking

Chilli Paneer is the popular snack loved by everyone. And the thing is we can also prepare this at home. So, come on lets make this popular snack and enjoy the evening. Its ingredients include the spring onions, capsicum, celery and of course the paneer and many more which makes the paneer totally different from other recipes. This is one of the new way of eating paneer. So, lets make and rock. There is also a note mentioned at the last of this recipe, which will definitely help to clear your doubts.

Ingredients for making Chilli Paneer

  • 3/4 cup Paneer (Cottage cheese) cut into thick strips
  • 1/4 cup chopped Spring Onion white
  • 2-3 Green chillies cut into 1 inch
  • 1/4 cup sliced Capsicum
  • 1 teaspoon Oil
  • 1 teaspoon grated Ginger (Adhrakh)
  • 2 teaspoon chopped Garlic (Lahusan)
  • 2 teaspoon chopped Celery
  • 1 teaspoon Soya sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon liquid Cornflour (Cornflour mixed with some water)
  • Salt as per taste
  • Oil for deep frying

Ingredients for making batter

  • 1/4 cup Cornflour
  • 1/4 cup Plain flour (Maida)
  • 1 teaspoon Soya sauce
  • A pinch of Baking powder
  • Salt as per taste

For garnishing

  • 1/2 cup chopped Spring Onions

Method for making Chilli Paneer

  • Take a bowl and combine all the ingredients of batter.
  • Add nearly 1/4 cup of water and carefully mix the batter so that lumps may not form. If the lumps
    do occur, then do not worry whisk it thoroughly. The lumps will easily disappear.
  • Dip the paneer pieces in the batter and deep fry each piece till they turn golden brown.
  • Remove the paneer and drain on an absorbent paper.
  • Now in a pan, heat oil. Add ginger, garlic, celery, spring onion white and green chillies. Saute for sometime.
  • Add the capsicum and saute for some more time.
  • Add soya sauce, sugar, liquid cornflour and salt and allow this to boil.
  • Now its time to add the fried paneer and mix well.
    Chilli Paneer is ready to serve.

Garnish with the spring onion green

Note

Here we have used the spring onions, both the white part that is the onion and the green part which are the leaves of the onion. So, we have clearly mentioned them, like : spring onion white and spring onion green.
