Coriander Chutney Recipe – Ingredients, Method of making

Coriander chutney has a very good taste and looks. Coriander is one of the main ingredient and loved by everyone. It is usually used for garnishing and now we are using it for preparing chutney. It is generally eaten with deep fried items or khichdi, idli, dosa and it can also be eaten with chapathi. It is also used as a dipping sauce with samosas and culets.

Ingredients for making Coriander Chutney

  • 1 bunch Fresh Coriander leaves (Kothmir)
  • 1 fist Groundnut
  • 2-3 Garlic (Lahusan / Lasan)
  • 1/2 inch Ginger (Adhrakh)
  • 3-4 Green Chilli
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Jaggery (Gud)
  • Salt as per taste
  • Water as required

Method for making Coriander Chutney

  • Firstly grind the groundnut and then add the remaining ingredients – coriander leaves, garlic, ginger, green chilli, lemon juice, jaggery, salt and water. Grind these to a fine paste.
  • Coriander chutney is ready to serve.


  • If you want to store this chutney for few days, you should only remove one of the ingredient from above. Do not use water. Chutney will be little dry but the taste remains same.
