Corn on toast – Ingredients, Method of Cooking

Corn on toast is a bread toast recipe. Certain vegetables and corn are combined with spices and applied over the bread slice. It can either be toasted or grilled. It tastes awesome and loved by children. Generally, children enjoy the boiled corns, and so they will definitely love this. It is even healthier.

Ingredients for making Corn on toast

  • 1 cup boiled and mashed Potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped Carrot
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped Beans
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped Green chillies
  • 1 cup lightly Mashed Corn
  • 1 tablespoon Bread pieces (small)
  • 1 teaspoon Ajinomoto
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 bunch chopped Coriander
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped Garlic
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1 tablespoon Maida (level)
  • 1 teaspoon Green chilli sauce
  • 4 slice Bread

Method for making Corn on toast

  • In a bowl take the potatoes.
  • Add carrot, beans, green chillies and corn.
  • Now add the bread pieces by dipping them, little in the water.
  • Add ajinomoto, pepper powder, red chilli powder, coriander, garlic, salt and maida.
  • Mix these items well. Also add the green chilli sauce.
  • Take the bread pieces and remove the sides of the bread (brown layer).
  • Now apply liquid Corn flour (Cornflour + Water) on one side of the bread.
  • On the same side, that is over the liquid cornflour, add the thick paste (the above corn paste).
  • Cut this bread into 4 equal parts (straight or crossways)
  • Now deep fry these pieces.
  • We can also fry these with little oil in pan, by frying it on both the sides. And the Corn on toast is ready to eat.
