How to make Kaju katli / Kaju barfi – Ingredients, Method

Kaju Barfi / Kaju Katli is an Indian dessert loved by everyone. It is made using the cashewnuts and is very easy to make. It is quiet healthy and mouth watering. It is one of the expensive sweet available in India. Even though it is expensive, people are very crazy to consume it.

Ingredients for making Kaju Katli / Kaju Barfi

  • 3 cup Cashewnuts (Kaju)
  • 2 cup Water
  • 2 cup Sugar
  • Silver Warq

Method for making Kaju Katli / Kaju Barfi

  • Firstly grind the Cashewnuts to a fine Powder.
  • Take a bowl. Add water, sugar and bring it to boil.
  • Cook this until a syrup of two string consistency is achieved.
  • Put off the gas and add the Cashewnut powder. Mix well till it turns to smooth.
  • Pour this mixture in the greased tray and let it set for sometime.
  • Decorate with the silver warq and cut it into diamond shape.
  • Kaju katli / Kaju Barfi is ready to serve.
