How to make Milk Pedha or Doodh Peda Recipe – Ingredients, Method of Making

Milk Peda or Doodh Peda is one of the simplest and healthy sweets which can be prepared when you have very less time to make something and don’t want to end up making something that doesn’t taste right. This dessert can take from 10 minutes to an hour for making, depending on the method and whether you are doing it with the traditional heating or using the Microwave for that. Ingredients for making Milk Pedha

  • Non Salted Butter – 4 table spoon (or) 1/2 cup
  • Dry Milk Powder – 2 Cups
  • Condensed Milk (sweetened) – 1 Can or 400 ml
  • Pistachios or Almond pieces for Garnishing

Method of Making Doodh Peda

The method we are sharing below is for those who want to make the Doodh Peda in a microwave, which takes very less time. Follow the steps below.

  • Take the non-salted butter in a microwave bowl and melt it, takes around 45 seconds to one minute. Do not overheat the butter.
  • In the same bowl, now add the 2 cups of dry milk powder, and 400ml of condensed milk and stir them well. Now, microwave this for one minute. After removing from the Microwave, stir it well with a spoon.
  • Repeat the above 2nd step (microwave heating the entire mixture for one minute and stirring) for 2 more times, so that you have done it thrice totally.
  • Now all the mixture to cool for around 10 minutes, and then to make this into shapes, apply some butter to your hands and also grease the bowl with the same.
  • Now once it has cooled down, first make round balls of the size you desire, and then after placing them in a plate, press from the top to make them flat.

Garnish with your favorite nuts, such as Pista or Badam or any other but these two are the best to add to the taste of these milk pedhas. Even Cashew nuts would taste good with it.

The milk peda should not be cooled in a refrigerator, and it should not be heated too. They taste the best in the normal temperature.
