Paneer Chilli Cigars – Ingredients, Method of Cooking

Paneer Chilli Cigars are an awesome starter. It is little difficult to prepare, but once you are well attached with the recipe, it becomes easier. It is something different and interesting starter rather than the regular manchurians. They look awesome and also are tasty.

Ingredients for making Paneer Chilli Cigars

  • 5 Samosa Patti
  • 1 tablespoon Plain flour (Maida)
  • 1 tablespoon Water

For the Filling

  • 3/4 cup crumbled Paneer (Cottage Cheese)
  • 1/4 cup chopped Spring Onion
  • 1 tablespoon Chilli-garlic sauce
  • 1/4 cup grated Mozzarella Cheese
  • 2 tablespoon Oil
  • Salt as per taste

Method for making Paneer Chilli Cigars

For the Filling

  • Take a pan. Heat oil and add the spring onions. Saute till they are translucent.
  • Add the paneer, chilli-garlic sauce, mozzarella cheese, oil and salt.
  • Mix thoroughly and cook for another 2-3 minutes and keep aside.

Proceeding method

  • Cut each samosa patti into two rectangular pieces. By doing this you will get ten pieces.
  • Mix the flour and water to make a flour paste and keep aside.
  • Now take one samosa patti piece and place a portion of the filling at one corner, which we have kept aside.
  • Roll it tightly, starting from the end where the filling is placed to make a cigar.
  • Seal the edge of the samosa patti using the flour paste.
  • Repeat the process for all the remaining samosa patties
  • At last deep fry the cigars in the hot oil till golden brown.
  • Drain on an absorbent paper and the Paneer Chilli Cigars are ready to serve.

How to serve

  • Serve hot with Hot Garlic Sauce.
