How to make Pineapple sandesh – Ingredients, Method

Sandesh is one of the lovely, awesome and famous bengali sweet. It is usually consumed as a dessert. It is made with the chhena (Indian cheese). It is given a round shape and flavored with the essence of fruit. Here, we have used the pineapple essence as we are making the pineapple sandesh. It is very easy to make and lovely to have during the festivals.

Ingredients for making Pineapple sandesh

  • 1 litre fresh Milk
  • 2 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 3 tablespoon Powdered Sugar
  • 3 drops Pineapple Essence
  • 3 Pineapple pieces
  • 6 Mint leaves (Pudina)
  • 6 Red Tutti Frutti pieces

Method for making Pineapple Sandesh

  • Firstly, we have to boil the milk. Remove the cream from it and once again boil it.
  • When the milk starts boiling, add the lemon juice. Mix and stir well.
  • The milk will start curdling (if not, add some more lemon juice to it).
  • Now put off the gas and pour it in a soft muslin cloth.
  • Let it cool completely. Pour some cold water, which helps in easy cooling.
  • For removing the water from it, hold the cloth tightly and squeeze well.
  • Now, keep this curdled milk in a plate and rub with your palm.
  • This should be done for nearly 5 minutes which makes the curdled milk solid smooth.
  • Add the powdered sugar and mix well.
  • Take a pan. Add this mixture and cook on a slow flame for few minutes (3-4 minutes).
  • Put off the gas and keep this mixture in a plate and bring it to a room temperature.
  • Now, add the Pineapple essence and once again rub with your palm for 3 minutes.
  • Grease your hands and start making balls from the mixture.
  • From the top, flatten slightly and garnish with pineapple, mint leaves and tutti frutti.
  • We have to refrigerate it for 1 hour.
  • Pineapple Sandesh is ready to serve.
