Rose Sandesh Recipe – Ingredients, Method of Cooking

Rose Sandesh is a bengali sweet. It is very healthy and good to eat after the meal. It is a milk based dessert. Here, we have used the rose essence and the rose petals. Specially, this recipe is good for the diabetic people.

Ingredients for making Rose Sandesh

  • 2 litres low fat milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon Citric acid (Nimbu ke beej/Lemon seeds)
  • 2 teaspoon Sugar substitute
  • A few drops of Rose essence
  • A few crushed Rose Petals

For Garnishing

  • Few Rose Petals

Method for making Rose Sandesh

  • Take a Pan. Heat milk and when it starts boiling add citric acid.
  • Stir continuously till it curdles completely.
  • Now, drain this into a fine muslin cloth and wring it, to squeeze out the excess water from the paneer.
  • Open the cloth and mash the paneer with palm on the cloth.
  • Remove the paneer and rub it in the sugar substitute as per the taste.
  • Add the rose essence and the crushed rose petals.
  • Knead well and get rid of any lumps.
  • Take a portion of the paneer and make it to a round shape.
  • Now press this rounds on the sandesh moulds and shape well.
  • Garnish with rose petals.
  • Remove from the moulds and store refrigerated.
  • Serve chilled.

Tip

  • There is no compulsion to use the sandesh moulds. If you do not have it, you can also use any other mould either plastic or chocolate.
