Vegetable Burger Recipe – Ingredients, Method of Cooking

Vegetable Burger is one of the famous dish, which is welcomed in any party. It is loved by children and there is no party without vegetable burger in their menu. A bun filled with vegetable cutlet, salad, cucumber, tomato and Lettuce leaf is a vegetable burger. It is healthiest too, as we have used vegetables and salads here. We have also prepared a vegetable burger which is good for diabetes (Nutritious burger).

Ingredients for making Vegetable Burger

For Vegetable Cutlet

  • 2 Bread slices
  • 4 cups boiled Mixed Vegetables
  • 3 boiled and mashed Potatoes
  • 2 teaspoon Ginger-Green chilli paste
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 2 teaspoon Lemon juice
  • Salt as per taste
  • Bread crumbs
  • Oil

For the Salad

  • 200 gms Fresh Cream
  • 3 teaspoon Sugar
  • 2 grated Carrots
  • 3 cups Shredded Cabbage
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard powder (Rai)
  • Salt as per taste
  • 3 tablespoon Salad Oil

For the Burgers

  • 10-12 Burger buns

For the filling

  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Cucumber slices
  • Tomato ketchup

Method for making Vegetable Burger

For the Vegetable Cutlet

  • Dip the bread slices in water for few seconds and squeeze out the water.
  • Take a bowl, add the mixed vegetables, potatoes, ginger-green chilli paste, Garam masala, lemon juice, salt and the bread which was dipped in water.
  • Now shape this mixture into small flattened rounds.
  • Sprinkle the bread crumbs all over the cutlet.
  • Cook on tawa (griddle) using oil.

For the salad

  • Take a bowl, add cream and sugar. Beat it thoroughly.
  • Now add the carrots, cabbage, mustard powder, salt and salad oil. Mix well and chill.

Method of serving

We have already made the things which we kept inside the burger and now we will see the method for serving (how to present the above made cutlet and salad inside the burger).

  • Cut the burger bun horizontally into two.
  • Spread a little tomato ketchup and mustard sauce on the lower half.
  • Place a lettuce leaf and vegetable cutlet on top.
  • Spread a little salad and put a few cucumber slices and one tomato slice on top.
  • Cover with the upper half of the bun.
  • Heat below the grill for few minutes.

The vegetable burger is ready to serve. Repeat the process for the remaining buns.
