Boondi Raita

Boondi Raita is one of the famous North Indian raita. It is delicious and very easy to prepare.
All ingredients used here are home made, especially the boondi, which can also be prepared at home. The awesome taste of garlic gives raita a rich flavor which is incredible.

Ingredients for making Boondi Raita

  • 1 cup Boondi
  • 3-4 cup Yogurt (Dahin/curd)
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic paste
  • 1 Green chilli paste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh Coriander leaves
  • Sugar if needed
  • Salt as per taste

Method for making Boondi Raita

  • Wash the boondi, if it is mixed with the spices. If boondi is plain, there is no need to wash, just use, as it is.
  • Now take a bowl add the yogurt, salt, garlic and green chilli paste.
  • Add boondi and mix well. Lastly add coriander leaves.
  • Add sugar if needed.
  • Raita should not be too thick, so you can either add water or chaas (Lassi) to the raita.


  • Make raita before 15 minutes to serve.
  • This will make the boondi soft and yummy.
