Garam Masala
Garam Masala is a mix of all the spices. Here, the spices are roasted one by one and then blend to a fine powder. Home made garam masala gives an awesome taste to the recipe than the ready-made one.
Ingredients for making Garam Masala
- 50 grams Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
- 25 grams Black Pepper
- 100 grams Coriander (Dhania) seeds
- 50 grams Fennel Seeds (Saunf)
- 25 grams Cardamom (Ellaichi)
- 50 grams Cloves (Lavang/Laung)
- 50 grams Cinnamon (Dalchini)
- 50 grams Bay leaves (Tej patta)
- 40 grams Dagad phool
- 25 grams Mace (javitri)
- 50 grams Nutmeg (Jaiphal)
- 50 grams Green Cardamom (Green Elaichi)
Method for making Garam Masala
- Take a pan and roast all the ingredients individually, one by one (without oil).
- Now mix all the ingredients together and grind to a fine powder.
- Fresh Garam masala is ready to use.
