How to make Gulkand Gilori – Ingredients, Method

Gulkand Gilori is a very awesome sweet recipe. It totally resembles the pan. It is triangular in shape. It is an almond triangle stuffed with gulkand flavored mawa. Here, we have made the outer part, that is the triangle shape with the almond dough, by using little rose water and the almond essence. This is stuffed with the gulkand and khoya. We have added a few drops of rose red color which totally resembles the pan. The silver warq over it gives an amazing look to the sweet. It is specially prepared during the festivals. It can be one of the sweets prepared during the Diwali. Guests will definitely love it.

Ingredients for making Gulkand Gilori

  • 1 cup Almond (Badam) powder
  • 2 teaspoon Rose water
  • 2 cup Icing Sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Gulkand
  • 1 teaspoon Almond Essence
  • 2 tablespoon Khoya (Mawa)
  • Few drops of Green food color
  • Few drops of Rose red colour
  • Silver warq

Method for making Gulkand Gilori

  • Take a bowl. Add the almond powder, almond essence, sugar, rose water and green color.
  • Mix well to a smooth dough.
  • Take another bowl and add khoya, gulkand and rose red color. Mix well and our stuffing is ready.
  • Now make small round balls from the almond dough.
  • Roll these balls to a flat disc.
  • Keep some gulkand stuffing in the centre of the disc and cover from three sides making a triangle shape.
  • Cover with silver warq and the Gulkand Gilori is ready to serve.
