Paneer and Potato Rosti Recipe – Ingredients, Method of Cooking

Paneer and Potato Rosti is one of the famous swiss dish. It is loved by all the youngsters. It is amazing. The appearance of the rosti is too good. I have tried it once and a large number of members became fans of it. It is served as a side dish and can also be accompanied with the main course.

Ingredients for making Paneer and Potato Rosti Recipe

  • 1 cup grated Paneer
  • 3 medium sized par-boiled Potatoes
  • 1 finely chopped Green chilli
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped Onions
  • 1/2 cup grated processed Cheese
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • Salt as per taste
  • Black Pepper as per taste

Method for making Paneer And Potato Rosti Recipe

  • Peel the potatoes. Grate and sprinkle salt and pepper on them.
  • Take a pan. Melt the butter and add the onions. Cook for 1 minute.
  • Now add the green chilli, cheese and paneer.
  • Cook on a slow flame for few seconds and keep aside.
  • Add the potatoes and mix well.
  • Now, wet your fingers and spread a portion of rosti on a hot greased non-stick pan.
  • Observe the thickness of the rosti, it should be nearly 1/4 inch.
  • Cook on both sides till golden brown.
  • Paneer and Potato Rosti is ready to serve.


  • Do not boil the potatoes totally. They should be little crunchy.
